First Elimination - The One - July 19th 2006
I do have to agree here with another blog I read: the folks on this show lack the ’sizzle’ of the Idol shows… maybe it’s due to us not getting to see them coming up to this point.
I DISagree with the choice of letting performer Michael Cole be the one saved though. As a fan of pro-wrestling, that name makes me chuckle - but performance-wise, I don’t like his sounds or his white trash appearance. Based on the audience reaction, many of them don’t either.
This show now already has it’s Carmen Rassmusin/Scotty Savvo/Bucky Covington, and in only one week. He hasn’t been around long enough yet, but we’ll see if he breaks their stay records.
