Canada voted – and got it right! Granted I still think Carly Rae Jepsen should have won… but Brian Melo as the winner I’m more than fine with. He’s not JayDee Bixby, so it works for me.
I guess my voting seeming too easy last night was just a fluke, so I can rest easy now.

As of these results, I’m getting flashbacks to Kaylan Porter and Ryan Malcolm: the less talented person winning the crown.

I dread JayDee making it one more week. He can only sing like a country singer. The judges seemed impressed how he took a Burton Cummings song and made it his own — but to me it really showed how he won’t deviate from the style he knows.
